WOR to Hold Charity Car Wash at The Greene August 6 - Lots of Goodies!

Soapy Sedans & Foamy Firefighters Car Wash for a Cause

To help support the Beavercreek Fire Department and to help The Greene Town Center celebrate its 10^th Anniversary, the Western Ohio Region Sports Car Club of America is holding the Soapy Sedans & Foamy Firefighters Car Wash for a Cause. Bring your car on over to The Greene on Saturday, August 6th, between noon and 3pm for a quality environmentally-friendly car wash and microfiber hand drying for a donation to the fire department. Additional services will be available for additional donations. The primary event sponsor is Liberty Mutual Insurance, along with The Greene Town Center's donation of their facilities and the Funny Bone's donation of tickets.

All net proceeds will benefit the Auxiliary department of the Beavercreek Fire Department. The Auxiliary is a group of volunteers that provides service to the department, as well as the community. Members provide emergency support to on-scene firefighters and emergency responders; provide crisis intervention to fire victims; are involved in community activities; plan and execute activities for the firefighters and their families; and so much more. And they run strictly off donations.

It's shaping up to be a fun day! We have a whole street closed off for the car wash at The Greene. There will be firefighters present, along with a fire truck, so the kids will have something to enjoy. Relax in your car or even better, under a tent, in chairs, with ice cold water and a variety of magazines while we take care of your car. There will be 20 chances to skip the line and use the VIP lane with virtually none or no waiting, along with a free vacuuming. You also have the opportunity to get a ticket to the Funny Bone for 4 people to get in free, a $60 value. And to celebrate The Greene’s 10th anniversary, they have generously provided us with coupon books. The first 50 donors in line will receive one, perfect for that weekend as it is Ohio's Tax Free Weekend! Goodie bags and more! Jim Bucher of recent WDTN fame and now of BuchtvGuy.com and TV spokesman, emcee and media consultant for businesses and events will be there too.

• $8 donation for cars and small SUVs, $10 donation for vans and large SUVs.
